These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of LegalDoc, operated from Lagos, Nigeria (“LegalDoc”, “we”, “us”). By using our website or services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use LegalDoc.

1. What LegalDoc is

LegalDoc is a self-service platform that helps you create legal documents from prepared templates, and that offers business-registration services handled by our team. LegalDoc is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice or legal representation. Using LegalDoc does not create a lawyer–client relationship. For advice on your specific situation, consult a qualified lawyer.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to use LegalDoc. By using the service you confirm that you meet these requirements.

3. Your information

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide. The documents we generate reflect the answers you give, so incorrect or incomplete answers will produce an incorrect document. Please review every document carefully before relying on it.

4. Payments and pricing

Prices are shown in Nigerian naira. Payments are processed securely by our payment partner, Paystack. A document or service is delivered after payment is confirmed. Fees for registration services cover LegalDoc’s handling of your request; statutory or government charges, where they apply, are separate and confirmed before filing.

5. Your document licence

Once you have paid, you may use the document you generate for your own personal or business purposes, including editing it. You may not resell, redistribute, or republish our templates or generated documents as a competing product.

6. Registration services

For company, business-name, NGO and intellectual-property registrations, LegalDoc acts on your behalf to prepare and file with the relevant authority (such as the Corporate Affairs Commission). Timelines depend on those authorities and are not guaranteed by LegalDoc.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use LegalDoc for any unlawful purpose, not to attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the service, and not to use the documents to facilitate fraud or other illegal activity.

8. No legal advice; no warranty

Our templates are provided on an “as is” basis. While we work to keep them accurate and current, we do not warrant that any document is suitable for your particular circumstances or that it will achieve any specific outcome. Whether a document is valid and enforceable can depend on how it is completed, signed, witnessed and stamped.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LegalDoc is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to a document or service is limited to the amount you paid for it.

10. Intellectual property

The LegalDoc name, website, templates and software are owned by LegalDoc and protected by law. These Terms do not transfer ownership of them to you.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “last updated” date above shows when they were last changed. Continued use of LegalDoc after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Nigerian courts.
